  • A COMMENTARY ON THE USE OF UNION-FIRM BARGAINING IN INDIAS OTHER PAY SCHEMES.

    Abstract

    In 2006 the Indian Journal of Labour Economics looked at the results of monopoly corporation and risk-neutral union negotiations under different agendas (right-to-manage RTM vs. efficient bargaining EB) and compensation schemes (fixed salary vs. piece rate) and how it affected societys welfare. By using the same assumptions this note shows that the results of RTM discussions with a profit-sharing scheme are identical to those of the EBs piece-rate negotiations.
