Abstract

The integration of natural fibers into polymer composites has gained significant attention due to the growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly materials. This review systematically examines recent advancements in the field of polymer composites reinforced with natural fibers focusing on their mechanical properties processing techniques and applications. We provide a comprehensive analysis of various types of natural fibers including flax jute hemp and bamboo and discuss their influence on the performance characteristics of polymer matrices such as thermoplastics and thermosets. The review also highlights the challenges associated with fiber-matrix adhesion moisture absorption and long-term durability. Additionally emerging trends and future research directions are explored to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of these composite materials. By consolidating current knowledge this review aims to offer valuable insights for researchers engineers and manufacturers working in
