India’s tourism industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global economy contributing significantly to GDP foreign exchange earnings and employment generation. With its rich cultural heritage diverse landscapes historical landmarks and spiritual destinations India has positioned itself as a major international tourist destination. This research paper explores the multifaceted nature of India’s tourism sector with a particular focus on job creation both direct and indirect.
