Abstract

Climate change represents a significant and escalating challenge to long-term sustainability impacting environmental economic and social systems globally. This paper examines the primary obstacles that climate change poses to achieving sustainable development goals. It explores the complex interactions between climate change and various sustainability dimensions including natural resource management economic stability and social equity. The study highlights key factors such as increased frequency of extreme weather events shifts in ecosystems and the disproportionate effects on vulnerable populations. It also discusses potential strategies and policy responses to mitigate these challenges and enhance resilience. Ultimately the paper underscores the urgency of integrated and proactive approaches to address climate change and ensure long-term sustainability.
