  • An Investigation on the Relationship Between Supervisors Emotional Quotient and Employee Happiness

    Abstract

    This study explores the correlation between supervisors Emotional Quotient (EQ) and employee happiness within corporate environments. Emotional Quotient or emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize understand and manage ones own emotions as well as the emotions of others. The research aims to determine whether supervisors with higher EQ can positively influence their subordinates overall job satisfaction and well-being. The investigation involved a mixed-method approach combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Data were collected from 200 employees across various industries along with assessments of their supervisors EQ using standardized emotional intelligence measurement tools. Employee happiness was measured through validated happiness and job satisfaction scales. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between supervisors EQ and employee happiness.
