Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly transforming legal systems worldwide has introduced both opportunities and ethical dilemmas. In India where the judiciary struggles with delays backlog of cases and limited access to justice AI offers possibilities of efficiency speed and transparency. However concerns about data privacy algorithmic bias accountability and the erosion of human values in justice delivery raise serious legal-ethical challenges. This paper critically examines the impact of AI on the Indian legal system evaluates its ethical implications and suggests frameworks for responsible integration.
