Abstract
Climate change has emerged as one of the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century with disproportionate impacts on marginalized communities particularly in developing countries like India. This paper delves into the multifaceted socio-economic consequences of climate change on Indias marginalized communities including its effects on livelihoods health migration and social equity. Drawing on case studies government reports and empirical data the paper highlights the vulnerabilities of these communities and examines the inadequacies of existing policy frameworks. The study concludes with actionable recommendations to mitigate these impacts and build climate resilience among India’s most vulnerable populations.
