Abstract
Community-based development models have emerged as an important strategy for addressing socio-economic challenges in rural India. These models focus on empowering local communities by involving them directly in the planning implementation and management of development initiatives. Unlike traditional top-down development approaches community-based development emphasizes participatory decision-making local ownership and sustainable use of resources. In rural India where issues such as poverty unemployment lack of infrastructure and social inequality persist community-driven initiatives have proven effective in fostering inclusive growth and improving livelihoods.
