Abstract
Globalization has had a significant impact on cultural identity particularly among young people as they reconcile traditional beliefs with contemporary global influences. This research investigates the impact of globalisation on the cultural identity of youth in urban and rural environments emphasising their attitudes behaviours and feeling of belonging. The study uses a mixed-methods approach using surveys and in-depth interviews to elucidate the distinctions and commonalities in young engagement with global media technology and cultural trends across various geographical regions. The results indicate that urban adolescents are more inclined to embrace globalised identities while rural youth often experience conflict between local traditions and global influences. Notwithstanding these disparities the survey reveals a shared aspiration among millennials to harmonise their cultural legacy with a global perspective.
