  • Cyberbullying and Mental Health: A Cross-Cultural Study of Online Aggression

    Abstract

    The rise of digital communication and social media has revolutionized interpersonal interactions but it has also given rise to cyberbullying—a pervasive form of online aggression that transcends national and cultural boundaries. This study explores the impact of cyberbullying on mental health through a cross-cultural lens examining how different societies perceive respond to and mitigate online harassment. Using a mixed-methods approach that includes qualitative interviews survey data and psychological assessments this research analyzes variations in cyberbullying patterns coping mechanisms and the psychological effects experienced by victims across diverse cultural backgrounds. The findings reveal that while cyberbullying is a global issue its intensity social acceptance and consequences vary significantly based on cultural norms digital literacy and the availability of mental health support.
