Abstract
Democracy in India represents one of the most ambitious political experiments in the modern world combining vast cultural plurality linguistic diversity economic inequality and deep-rooted historical legacies within a single constitutional framework. Since independence India has continually evolved as a democratic nation through regular elections institutional reforms political participation and the strengthening of rights-based governance.
