Abstract
The rise of digital activism has revolutionized the way social movements mobilize support spread awareness and challenge systemic issues. Hashtag campaigns in particular have emerged as powerful tools that allow activists marginalized communities and the general public to engage in online discourse and collective action. This research evaluates the effectiveness of hashtag campaigns in driving real-world social and political change examining their role in shaping public opinion influencing policy decisions and fostering digital communities. Employing a multi-dimensional approach—including case studies sentiment analysis and engagement metrics—this study explores the impact of major hashtag movements such as #MeToo #BlackLivesMatter #FridaysForFuture and others.
