  • Digital Loneliness and Social Isolation Among Urban Youth in the Post-Pandemic Era

    Abstract

    The post-pandemic era has transformed human interaction patterns across the globe particularly among urban youth whose daily lives have become increasingly dependent on digital communication technologies. The emergence of social media platforms virtual workspaces online education systems and digital entertainment environments has reshaped social relationships and emotional connectivity in unprecedented ways. Although digital technology enabled continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic by facilitating communication and remote engagement it also intensified emotional detachment psychological isolation and feelings of loneliness among young individuals living in urban spaces.
