  • Digital Storytelling in Modern Theatre

    Abstract

    The integration of digital storytelling into modern theatre has transformed narrative practices performance styles and audience engagement. Digital tools such as projection mapping virtual reality (VR) augmented reality (AR) social media and interactive technologies have expanded the possibilities of theatrical storytelling. This paper explores how digital storytelling reshapes the aesthetics and pedagogy of modern theatre analyzing its impact on creativity accessibility and cultural exchange. Through literature review theoretical frameworks and case studies of innovative productions the paper argues that digital storytelling does not replace traditional theatre but creates hybrid practices that expand the boundaries of dramatic expression. At the same time it identifies challenges such as technological dependence digital inequality and questions about authenticity and liveness.
