    Abstract

    Eco-friendly energy models for developing Indian villages represent an essential foundation for promoting sustainable growth reducing rural poverty and ensuring long-term environmental security. As India continues to modernize its villages—where more than 60 percent of the population resides—face numerous challenges such as unreliable electricity supply dependence on fossil fuels economic underdevelopment and climate-related vulnerabilities. This abstract deeply explores how decentralized renewable energy solutions can transform rural livelihoods support income generation and enhance the quality of life for village communities. The focus of the paper lies in analysing solar microgrids biomass-based energy systems biogas plants wind-solar hybrid setups small hydropower units and improved energy-efficient technologies that reduce environmental footprints.
