  • Enhancement of Images by the Use of Pixel Components

    Abstract

In the realm of digital image processing this is an approach to the picture enhancing process itself. Despite the fact that the picture has already been processed by sharpening and smoothing this will bring the process of improving the image to a higher level of precision. The technique that is being taken here is quite different from the picture enhancing algorithms and analysis that are currently known. Any picture that has been digitalized and has all of its borders is taken into consideration as the input. The input is screened in either a horizontal or vertical way in other words the input cannot be inspected for its gradient slant or inclined pixels during the screening process. For the purpose of improvement we use a system that involves considering the pixels as segments. For example the segment pixel (1-4) is denoted as S1 and consists of P1 P2 P3 and P4. Similarly the segment pixel (5-8) is denoted as S2 and consists of P5 P6 P7 and P8. Both of its test segments S1 and S2 ar
