  • Examining the Effects of Student Anxiety

    Abstract

    This study investigates the impact of anxiety on student performance and well-being within academic settings. With increasing concerns about mental health among students understanding the role of anxiety in educational outcomes has become critical. This research employs a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to assess the prevalence of anxiety among students and its correlation with academic performance classroom engagement and overall mental health. The findings reveal a significant relationship between heightened anxiety levels and diminished academic achievement lower engagement in classroom activities and poorer mental health outcomes. The study also identifies key factors contributing to student anxiety including academic pressure social expectations and personal stressors.
