Abstract
Gender equality in the workplace remains a critical issue in modern India despite significant progress in legal frameworks and corporate policies. This paper examines the current status of gender equality in Indian workplaces exploring the effectiveness of existing policies socio-cultural barriers and best practices for promoting inclusivity. It provides an in-depth analysis of government legislation organizational strategies and societal factors that influence gender equality. The paper highlights the gap between policy and practice drawing on case studies statistical analyses and interviews to present a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in achieving gender parity. Finally recommendations are proposed to bridge the gender gap and foster an equitable work environment.
