Abstract
Gender inequality in the workplace has been a persistent issue globally influencing various facets of professional environments especially wage gaps and career progression. This paper examines the causes effects and solutions to gender inequality within the workplace with a primary focus on wage disparities and opportunities for career advancement. In the modern economy despite significant strides toward gender equality disparities remain in both the remuneration and career advancement of men and women. This research aims to analyze the contributing factors of gender-based wage gaps including historical cultural and organizational influences as well as the structural barriers that hinder womens career progression. Using a mixed-methods approach the study incorporates both qualitative interviews and quantitative data analysis to explore how gender disparities manifest across different industries and professions.
