    Abstract

    Globalization has emerged as one of the most influential forces shaping contemporary societies across the world and India represents one of the most significant cases of large-scale socio-economic and cultural transformation under globalization. Broadly understood as the intensification of cross-border flows of goods services capital information technology and cultural symbols globalization has restructured national economies and social systems in complex and often contradictory ways.
