Abstract
In the context of globalization immigration has become one of the most pressing issues affecting not only the economic and social fabric of nations but also posing challenges to national identity and cultural integration. This paper explores the relationship between immigration and national identity in multicultural societies focusing on the tensions that arise from diverse cultural groups coexisting in a single nation-state. The research delves into how immigration challenges traditional notions of national identity influencing both the immigrants and the host societys sense of belonging. The study examines the integration processes the role of state policies and the impact of media representation in shaping national identity. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis the research investigates the ways in which immigrants adapt to new cultural norms while retaining their original cultural practices and how these adaptations influence national cohesion.
