Abstract
India assumed the G20 presidency in December 2022 marking a significant moment in global governance and diplomacy. This study examines India’s leadership role in addressing critical global issues including economic recovery post-COVID-19 climate change digital transformation and sustainable development. The research highlights India’s contributions in advocating for the Global South strengthening multilateral cooperation and promoting inclusive growth. Key challenges such as global economic instability geopolitical tensions and climate commitments are analyzed to understand the efficacy of India’s presidency. Using policy documents official G20 statements and expert opinions this paper evaluates the outcomes of Indias leadership in shaping international policies and global financial reforms.
