Abstract
India assumed the G20 presidency in 2023 at a time when global governance faced unprecedented challenges ranging from economic instability climate crises technological disruptions geopolitical tensions and post-pandemic recovery. The presidency offered India a platform to project its vision of a more inclusive sustainable and equitable global order. During its tenure India emphasized the importance of multilateralism digital transformation climate action global health architecture and economic resilience. This paper examines India’s achievements during its G20 presidency focusing on initiatives such as the New Delhi Leaders’ Summit finance and trade negotiations and collaborative frameworks for sustainable development. Simultaneously it analyzes the challenges encountered including divergent national interests geopolitical rivalries and the complexities of coordinating global policies amid economic uncertainties.
