Abstract

As we are aware of the fact that 21st Century is the age of drastic change and creativity. In India we need a large number of educated men. Traditional teaching learning methodology is outdated and we need to identify best methods to develop the required skills of the teachers and students. A strong need to change pedagogy from fact-based traditional lecturing to interactive teaching has been felt with the aim of fostering durable and employability skills. To counter this problem innovation in teaching and learning has become mandatory. By adopting various methods and strategies as mentioned in this paper we will be able to get the desired outcome. Through this paper an attempt has been made to describe innovative teaching methods which are being adopted by higher educational institutes in the country.
