Abstract
The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed the delivery of library and information science (LIS) services prompting academic libraries worldwide to offer online services to meet the evolving needs of students researchers and faculty members. This research investigates the nature scope and effectiveness of online LIS services provided by academic libraries through a comprehensive survey methodology. The study focuses on the types of digital services including online catalogs digital repositories e-journals research assistance reference services and virtual information literacy programs. By analyzing responses from a diverse sample of academic libraries the research identifies prevalent practices challenges and user satisfaction levels offering insights into the integration of technology in LIS services.
