Abstract

Value Engineering (VE) is a systematic approach aimed at improving the value of a product or service by assessing its functions and exploring ways to enhance its performance while reducing costs. This abstract outlines methods for applying VE job plans to improve products. The process begins with defining the project goals and identifying critical functions of the product. Subsequently a team of experts analyzes these functions to determine potential improvements and cost-saving opportunities. The VE job plan includes phases such as information gathering function analysis creative brainstorming evaluation of alternatives and development of recommendations. By focusing on the functions that the product performs and finding innovative ways to achieve them more efficiently VE helps in enhancing product value without compromising quality. This approach not only leads to cost reduction but also fosters continuous improvement and competitiveness in the market. The effectiveness of these meth
