Abstract
Value Engineering (VE) has emerged as a powerful managerial and analytical approach for improving product performance reducing manufacturing cost optimising resource utilisation and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. VE job plans provide a structured framework to analyse product functions redesign components and eliminate unnecessary costs without compromising quality. This research examines the methods used in value engineering job plans to improve products through functional analysis creativity techniques cost–benefit evaluation and multidisciplinary collaboration. The study synthesises insights from manufacturing engineering product design supply chain management and industrial optimisation to highlight how VE job plans enhance innovation flexibility productivity and competitiveness in modern industries. The research also evaluates the application of VE in automobile electronics construction and consumer goods sectors identifying key challenges and opportunities. Findings indi
