Abstract

Photography amplified by social media platforms significantly influences the behavior and aspirations of Bangalore’s youth. This paper investigates how photography as a medium fosters self-expression creativity and peer validation. It explores both positive impacts such as enhanced artistic skills and social connectivity and negative effects like body image issues and social comparison. By analyzing behavioral patterns the study highlights the role of photography in shaping digital identities and influencing cultural trends. It also addresses the implications of algorithm-driven visibility and the pressure to conform to curated aesthetics. The paper concludes with recommendations for fostering healthy digital engagement among teenagers.
