  • Poverty Food Security and the Development Goals Implemented After the Year 2015

    Abstract

    Poverty and food security remain two of the most urgent global development challenges deeply interconnected and influenced by economic social and environmental conditions. Despite significant progress in poverty reduction during the early 21st century millions across the world still struggle with inadequate access to food insufficient resources and persistent socioeconomic inequality. The year 2015 marked a historic moment in international development planning with the adoption of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which emphasized ending poverty eradicating hunger and ensuring sustainable development for all by the year 2030.
