    Abstract

    Rapid prototyping (RP) technologies have revolutionized the die manufacturing industry by significantly accelerating the design and production processes. This paper explores the integration of rapid prototyping methods into die manufacturing emphasizing the benefits of enhanced design flexibility reduced lead times and cost-efficiency. Various RP techniques including additive manufacturing CNC machining and laser sintering are examined for their application in creating high-fidelity prototypes and functional dies. The study highlights case examples demonstrating improved accuracy and performance of prototypes leading to streamlined manufacturing workflows and optimized production schedules. Challenges and limitations associated with RP technologies are also discussed along with potential solutions and future directions for research.
