Abstract
Youth have historically played a decisive role in shaping social movements across different political cultural and economic contexts. From anti-colonial struggles and civil rights movements to contemporary environmental activism gender justice campaigns and digital protests young people have consistently acted as catalysts of social transformation. The dynamism idealism and capacity for collective mobilization that characterize youth make them particularly significant actors in movements seeking social change. In recent decades the nature of youth participation in social movements has undergone profound transformation due to globalization technological advancement expanding education and the rise of digital communication platforms.
