Abstract
This empirical study investigates the perspectives and operational challenges faced by rural banks in Virudhachalam Taluk. Through a detailed analysis of survey data and interviews with bank officials the research explores various aspects such as customer satisfaction service delivery financial inclusion and the impact of regional socio-economic factors. The study highlights key issues such as infrastructure limitations regulatory constraints and the effectiveness of financial products offered. Findings indicate that while rural banks play a crucial role in local economic development and financial inclusion they face significant challenges that impact their efficiency and outreach. Recommendations are proposed to enhance the operational effectiveness of these banks and better serve the rural population of Virudhachalam Taluk.
