Abstract
The digital revolution and the proliferation of social media platforms have significantly transformed the dynamics of marital relationships. Social media serves as a double-edged sword enhancing communication and intimacy while also introducing challenges such as digital infidelity unrealistic relationship expectations and privacy concerns. The ability to maintain real-time connectivity with one’s spouse despite geographical distances has strengthened bonds for many couples but it has also led to increased emotional disconnect for others. This research paper explores the sociological impact of social media on marital relationships drawing from existing studies theoretical perspectives and empirical data. The study aims to assess how social media usage influences trust emotional bonds and overall marital satisfaction examining both the benefits and the drawbacks.
