Abstract

The Indian government has introduced several initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and economic self-reliance with Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat being two of the most significant programs. These initiatives aim to boost innovation generate employment and enhance Indias global competitiveness. Startup India launched in 2016 provides financial support policy benefits and an ecosystem to foster the growth of startups. Atmanirbhar Bharat announced in 2020 emphasizes self-sufficiency by reducing dependency on imports and strengthening indigenous production across various sectors. This research paper examines the objectives opportunities and challenges associated with these initiatives. It analyzes the impact of Startup India on fostering entrepreneurial ventures and how Atmanirbhar Bharat is facilitating economic resilience. The study further investigates how these programs contribute to Indias Make in India mission and their role in boosting sectors such as manufacturing technolog
