    Abstract

    The interplay between sustainability environmental management and the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) offers a unique framework for addressing contemporary ecological challenges. Rooted in ancient wisdom and practices the Indian Knowledge System embodies principles of environmental stewardship emphasizing the interconnectedness of all life forms and the intrinsic value of nature. This paper explores how traditional Indian philosophies such as the concepts of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and Prakriti (nature) provide holistic approaches to environmental management that align with modern sustainability goals.
