Abstract
Education is indispensable for a civilized society and open endless opportunities but challenge is how to access it. This question become more important when we think about the education for the marginalized sections of the society like Dalit. This research paper is an effort to understand the opportunities that English Language creates and what are the challenges in education process in the special reference of education for Dalit. Historically Dalit have been the most marginalize section of the society and the main reason is their separation from education from centuries. Their education was limited to their skills to serve the so-called upper Varna (for Shudra) and performing other inhumanly jobs only in the case of Ati-Shudra. They have been separated from elite language like Sanskrit and Persian in the past and now they are far away from English language and because of this their access to education was limited.
