    Abstract

    Caste-based politics has long been a defining feature of Indian electoral dynamics especially in small towns where social hierarchies and identity-based voting patterns remain significant. While urbanization and economic development have reshaped political consciousness in metropolitan areas caste affiliations continue to influence political behavior in smaller towns. This research paper examines the future trajectory of caste-based politics in small towns analyzing historical trends the impact of socio-economic changes and the role of digital media in shaping new political narratives. By exploring caste-driven voter mobilization political patronage and emerging challenges to caste-based electoral strategies this study aims to assess whether caste politics will persist transform or decline in the evolving political landscape of small-town India.
