    Abstract

    The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) represents one of the most transformative efforts in the history of Indian education envisioning a learning system that is holistic flexible multidisciplinary and aligned with twenty-first-century skills. This research paper critically examines the policy’s vision goals and implications for India’s educational future. It explores how NEP 2020 redefines the meaning of education by emphasizing conceptual understanding creativity ethical reasoning and lifelong learning rather than rote memorization. The study analyses reforms in early childhood education school restructuring teacher training curriculum flexibility digital learning and higher-education governance.
