Abstract

Parliamentary democracy has remained the cornerstone of Indias political system since independence providing a framework for representative governance accountability and public participation. Over the decades the Indian Parliament has played a vital role in shaping public policy ensuring governmental responsibility and maintaining constitutional values. However contemporary political developments have raised concerns regarding the effectiveness transparency and responsiveness of parliamentary institutions. Frequent disruptions declining deliberative standards increasing executive dominance coalition complexities and the growing influence of digital technologies have generated significant challenges for democratic governance.
