Abstract

ICT which stands for information and communication technology has brought about significant advancements in the capacity to serve and maintain information as well as in delivering it to customers in the present day. However there has been little to no new progress in the area of storing information. The transition from physical collections to virtual or online collections allowed librarians to take advantage of new possibilities while also presenting them with new obstacles.
