This study explores the multifaceted role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Maratha Empire offering a nuanced view of power from a Maratha perspective. Shivaji Maharaj renowned for his innovative military tactics and administrative reforms is examined through the lens of Maratha historical narratives and cultural values. The work delves into how Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership strategies were influenced by traditional Maratha ideals of sovereignty justice and governance. It also investigates the socio-political impact of his rule on the Maratha society and the broader Indian subcontinent. By analyzing contemporary Maratha sources and historical records this study aims to provide a deeper understanding of Shivaji Maharajs legacy and his influence on the evolution of Maratha political thought.
