  • The Reconstruction of Modern Rituals and Traditions in Indian Society

    Abstract

    Indian society has long been characterized by its deep-rooted traditions and cultural rituals which have played a pivotal role in shaping social norms community bonding and religious identity. However in the wake of modernization urbanization and globalization many of these rituals and traditions have undergone significant transformations. While some customs have been abandoned or altered due to changing lifestyles others have been reinvented to align with contemporary values and social realities. This research paper explores the reconstruction of modern rituals and traditions in Indian society analyzing how traditional practices are adapting to new socio-cultural contexts technological influences and global ideologies. The paper examines the impact of economic shifts digitalization intergenerational perspectives and gender roles in redefining rituals in modern India.
