Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the relationship between governments and citizens across the world. In democratic societies technology has emerged as a powerful instrument for enhancing transparency accountability efficiency and citizen participation in governance processes. E-governance initiatives which involve the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in public administration have significantly improved access to government services and enabled greater public engagement in decision-making processes. In India programs such as Digital India online grievance redressal systems e-participation platforms and digital public service delivery mechanisms have contributed to strengthening democratic governance.
