Abstract
The Quit India Movement (QIM) of 1942 holds a pivotal place in Indias struggle for independence. While the larger movement is often viewed from the perspective of the national leadership and the mass participation it garnered the role of youth particularly in regional contexts like Bhagalpur provides an important yet often overlooked facet of the movement. This paper explores the involvement of youth in Bhagalpur during the Quit India Movement and its impact on both the social fabric and political environment of the region. It investigates the local mobilization of youth the challenges they faced and their contribution to the movements objectives. Through a combination of primary sources such as newspaper articles eyewitness accounts and secondary literature this paper examines the role of youth in shaping the trajectory of the Quit India Movement in Bhagalpur.
