    Abstract

    The sharing economy has emerged as a revolutionary economic model redefining traditional business structures by enabling peer-to-peer exchange of goods and services. Platforms such as Airbnb Uber and TaskRabbit have facilitated new forms of collaboration convenience and cost efficiency disrupting established industries and reshaping consumer behavior. However the social impact of the sharing economy extends beyond its economic benefits raising critical questions about trust community engagement and equitable wealth distribution. This research examines the role of trust as the foundation of the sharing economy analyzing how digital reputation systems user reviews and platform policies influence consumer confidence. It further explores the sense of community fostered by these platforms assessing whether they strengthen social ties or contribute to economic individualism.
