Abstract
The rapid expansion of digital communication technologies and social media platforms has transformed the structure of contemporary society by reshaping human interaction public discourse identity formation and social reputation. In the digital age individuals increasingly construct and maintain their social identities through online platforms such as Instagram X Facebook YouTube and TikTok. These platforms have created new systems of visibility accountability and collective judgment in which digital reputation functions as a powerful form of social capital. At the same time the emergence of cancel culture has become one of the most debated sociological phenomena of contemporary society. Cancel culture refers to the public criticism boycott or social exclusion of individuals organizations celebrities or public figures who are perceived to have violated moral political cultural or ethical norms.
