  • The Sociology of Digital Transformation: Technology Identity and Social Change

    Abstract

    Digital transformation has become one of the most influential forces shaping contemporary society affecting patterns of communication work education governance consumption social relationships and individual identity. The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence social media digital platforms mobile technologies digital public infrastructure and data-driven systems has created new opportunities for social participation while simultaneously generating new forms of inequality surveillance exclusion and cultural transformation.
