    Abstract

This article places an emphasis on enhancing the quality of the picture from a degraded one by using an approach that is based on group-based sparse representation. The results that are obtained are more satisfying than those that are already available. There are a variety of picture restoration issues such as different forms of noise and blurring functions that have been addressed by the development of some of the most advanced systems. Every approach is effective on a distinct set of criteria. A provision for the identification of tampered pictures the localization of such images and the restoration of those images is one of the required prerequisites for current communication systems and multimedia. In high-level image processing image restoration becomes an essential topic that deal with recovering an original and crisp picture from a deteriorated one using a degradation and restoration model. This is accomplished by restoring the image to its original state. In most cases a pictur
