  • Using the Value Engineering Job Plan Method to Enhance Products

    Abstract

Value Engineering (VE) has emerged as a systematic and structured approach to improving product performance while minimizing cost without compromising quality or functionality. Rooted in functional analysis the Value Engineering Job Plan (VEJP) method provides a stepwise framework for evaluating redesigning and optimizing products across industries. In an increasingly competitive global market organizations seek strategies to deliver high-quality products efficiently satisfy customer requirements and maintain profitability. This paper investigates the application of the Value Engineering Job Plan in enhancing products by analyzing its influence on functional performance cost reduction quality improvement and customer satisfaction. It explores the structured phases of the VEJP method—including information gathering function analysis creative idea generation evaluation development and presentation—and evaluates their efficacy in product enhancement across diverse manufacturing sectors.
