  • Web-Based Information System Design and Development using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing

    Abstract

The integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) into web-based platforms has revolutionized the way spatial and environmental data is collected analyzed and visualized for decision-making processes. Web-based GIS and RS applications enable stakeholders to access interact with and analyze geospatial data in real time through user-friendly interfaces fostering improved planning monitoring and management of resources. This research paper focuses on the design and development of a comprehensive web-based information system leveraging GIS and RS technologies to provide spatial analysis mapping and decision support functionalities. The study emphasizes system architecture design data acquisition and preprocessing integration of remote sensing imagery with GIS layers and deployment on web platforms for interactive visualization. Additionally it examines key technological frameworks including database management geospatial web services client-server architecture
